Dr. Shelly Jebens
For the past 20 years, I have served in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient community mental health and residential facilities. My professional experiences include psychological consulting services, policy revision, professional development training and evidenced-based program development, implementation and evaluation. I have also provided psychological counseling and crisis management services to children, adolescents, adults and families. My professional philosophy seeks to help individuals and organizations identify and remove systemic barriers to their success by connecting them to resources that ultimately enable them to reach their full potential.
The underlying strategy that has contributed most to my professional effectiveness is routinely partnering with students, parents and staff in order to align our respective efforts at accomplishing a shared mission and vision. My ultimate goal as the EHA psychologist/guidance counselor is to provide consultation and support services for students, parents, teachers and staff.
The supportive services offered include, implementation and oversight of our school-wide behavior management system (PBIS), professional development training, and social emotional learning (SEL) services for EHA students. Additionally, you will often find me in the classroom supporting teachers and students to achieve our school-wide behavior expectations (B.E.S.T). I also routinely meet with EHA administration in order to evaluate and revise our policies/procedures to enhance the overall quality of our school.
At EHA we strive to facilitate a growth mindset culture where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential and soar. It is important to me that EHA students, parents and staff view and utilize me as a supportive resource for success.
